About Me

I have been a professional fireman for 8 years. I have the best career in the world and I work with some of the most incredible and inspiring people that I am proud to call my friends!

One day at work, one of my co-workers mentioned how he needed a massive, thick cutting board. I had no idea how cutting boards were made, so out of curiosity I started watching YouTube videos of talented woodworkers who demonstrated how to build pieces of functional art. After studying and learning the process, I called my co-worker and told him I was going to build one for him. Shortly after, another co-worker saw what I had made and wanted one for himself! My interior designer wife then asked when I was going to make one (now seven) for her, then more family and friends asked for a cutting board... and so that is how Wine Valley Woodworks was born!
