Caring For Your Board After Use

You've just received you board!  There are a few important (and easy) steps to follow in order to keep your board functional and looking brand new!

Refinishing:

• Rinse board with dishsoap and warm water.  Dry off immediately with a kitchen towel and let board sit vertically on a dry countertop.
• Once completely dry, apply Wine Valley Woodworks Board Conditioner to top surface of the board.  Let Conditioner set in for 12 hours.
• Buff off board conditioner with a dry cloth when finished to keep your board looking brand new!

General Use:

• NEVER wash your board in the dishwasher
• NEVER soak your board in water for prolonged periods of time, especially in the kitchen sink.  This will cause your board to expand and will make the joints separate from each other (in other words, the board will crack and fall apart).
• Avoid letting juices from acidic foods soak into your board.  Acid strips away the finish on the board.  Wipe off excessive amounts of juice off of your board as soon as possible after use.
